World Health Day is being observed today, April 7, under the theme "Together for health. Stand with science," as global health authorities reaffirm the critical role of scientific evidence in addressing the world's most pressing health challenges.
The World Health
Organization, marking its 78th anniversary, is using this year's observance to
call for greater investment in research, data-driven policymaking, and public
trust in science. This message resonates strongly in a time of regional conflicts,
climate concerns, and rapid digital health transformation.
WHO Director-General Dr. Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus emphasized that science has given humanity the tools to prevent disease, respond to emergencies, and build healthier societies.

In Qatar, the Ministry
of Environment and Climate Change confirmed this week that air quality remains
within safe limits despite seasonal dust storms. The country has also advanced
digital health innovation through platforms like "Hakeem" by Qatar Red
Crescent Society, which is reducing waiting times and streamlining care for
thousands of workers.
As the world marks World Health Day, health authorities urge the public to rely on verified information and trusted medical guidance.
