Doha, Qatar: The Ministry of Interior (MOI) has called on motorists to reduce speed in residential areas and near schools as part of ongoing efforts to enhance road safety and protect pedestrians, especially children.

The ministry stressed that maintaining lower speeds in such zones is essential to prevent accidents and ensure a safe environment for students and residents. Drivers were also reminded to stay alert, avoid distractions such as mobile phone use, and strictly follow traffic regulations.

The advisory is part of broader road safety awareness initiatives, with authorities urging all road users to act responsibly and cooperate in creating a safer traffic environment across the country.
