The corruption trial of
Benjamin Netanyahu is set to resume on Sunday after Israeli authorities lifted
the state of emergency imposed during the recent conflict with Iran. A court
spokesperson confirmed that judicial proceedings will return to normal, with
hearings scheduled to take place from Sunday through Wednesday each week.
Netanyahu, who is the
first sitting Israeli prime minister to face criminal charges, has denied all
allegations against him. The charges - including bribery, fraud and breach of
trust - were filed in 2019 following years of investigation.
The trial began in 2020 and has faced multiple delays due to the prime minister’s official responsibilities and political developments. The case remains ongoing, with no clear timeline for its conclusion.
