Doha: Pravasi Welfare organised a camp in Al Khor with the aim of creating awareness about the ID cards and insurance schemes introduced by Norka Roots, a state government agency, for expatriate Keralites worldwide, as well as other expatriate welfare schemes of the state government. The camp also aimed to make Malayalis in Al Khor beneficiaries of these schemes and to enrol them in the ICBF insurance scheme.

The camp, organised in Al Khor Industrial Area with the cooperation of Seashore Group, saw hundreds of people benefiting from various services. Pravasi Welfare Norka Wing Convenor Shamsu Vayeri explained the schemes. Al Khor Unit President Haris Akkarath and General Secretary Mubeen Ameen also spoke.
