Doha: Administrators and teachers will return to Qatar’s public schools on Sunday as preparations begin for the 2026-27 academic year. Students are scheduled to return to public schools on August 30.

School staff will complete academic, administrative and organisational preparations, including finalising operational plans, classroom arrangements and other logistical requirements to ensure schools are ready to welcome students.

Meanwhile, second-round exams for the 2025-26 academic year will begin on Sunday and continue until August 27 for students across all grade levels. The Ministry of Education and Higher Education has approved the examination schedules.

The Ministry has urged students appearing for the exams and their parents to follow school instructions and adhere to the scheduled dates and arrangements. The exam schedules are available on the Ministry’s website.
