Doha, Qatar: The Qatar Meteorology Department (QMD) has forecast a chance of local cloud formation that could bring rainfall across parts of the country on Sunday, August 17, 2025.

In a social media update, QMD shared an image from its weather research and forecasting model showing cloud activity over Qatar’s skies. “According to the latest weather updates, forecasts indicate a chance of local clouds forming, which may be rainy tomorrow, Sunday,” the department noted.

This alert comes shortly after QMD issued a marine warning for the same day, cautioning of wave heights between 3 and 6 feet, with occasional swells reaching up to 9 feet.
