Doha: Qatar’s Ministry of Education and Higher Education (MoEHE) has confirmed that both public and private schools are fully prepared to welcome approximately 417,000 students back to in-person classes today, Sunday.
This reopening follows a massive coordination
effort that included comprehensive facility maintenance and professional
training for nearly 10,000 staff members through the "Irtiqa 3"
forum. To ensure a secure environment, the ministry
collaborated with Civil Defense to train 1,200 officials on emergency protocols
and standardized safety measures for both buildings and transportation.
Beyond infrastructure, the ministry is also providing specialized psychological support to help students transition smoothly back to the classroom. Highlighting the importance of community, the MoEHE urged parents to act as active partners in supporting attendance and reinforcing safety guidelines, noting that these integrated efforts are essential to the resilient education goals of Qatar National Vision 2030.
