US and Iran reportedly agree on asset release to secure Strait of Hormuz

A senior Iranian source stated on Saturday that the US has agreed to release frozen Iranian assets held in Qatar and other international banks. The move is seen as a gesture of seriousness as both nations engage in negotiations in Islamabad.

While the US has not publicly confirmed the release, the source noted that the agreement is tied to ensuring safe passage through the Strait of Hormuz. Reopening the strategic waterway is expected to be a primary focus of the ongoing diplomatic talks.
