Doha: HE Mohammed bin Khalifa Al Suwaidi, Managing Director of Hamad Medical Corporation (HMC), highlighted the corporation’s commitment to delivering specialized healthcare services that meet the highest international standards. Speaking at the Qatar Health Congress 2026, he noted HMC’s success in advancing treatment pathways in key areas such as cancer care, cardiology, stroke, and trauma services.
The
three-day congress, attended by HE Minister of Public Health Mansoor bin
Ibrahim Al Mahmoud and over 2,000 healthcare professionals, focused on
enhancing patient safety, improving patient experience, and exploring
innovative healthcare solutions. HMC emphasized the expansion of digital tools,
including the Lbaih app and virtual consultations, to bring healthcare closer
to the community.
Scientific sessions at the congress reviewed best
practices for treating diabetes and cardiovascular diseases, strategies to
reduce medical errors, updated emergency protocols, and the management of
infectious diseases. Special attention was also given to psychological support
and integrated care for patients and injured individuals arriving from the Gaza
Strip.
Ahead of the congress, intensive workshops at HMC’s Itqan Clinical Simulation and Innovation Center provided participants with realistic simulation training to improve efficiency in complex medical procedures. Qatar Health Congress 2026 serves as a strategic platform for local and global expertise to collaborate on building a sustainable, patient-centered healthcare system.
