Doha, Qatar: Ahmad Bin Ali Stadium in Doha hosted the charity football match
“Match for Hope 2026,” where Team Chunkz narrowly defeated Team AboFlah 8-7.
The event brought together global football legends and leading content
creators, attracting 40,521 spectators and generating USD 12.4 million in support
of educational projects run by the Education Above All Foundation.
Team
Chunkz, coached by Arsene Wenger, featured stars including Eden Hazard, Marcelo
da Silva, and Diego Costa, alongside popular creators Mohamed Adnan, Sharky,
AngryGinge, and Marlon. Team AboFlah, led by Roberto Di Matteo, included
Thierry Henry, Franck Ribery, Gerard Pique, Tim Cahill, and creators MrBeast,
KSI, Amr Nosouhi, and Osama Marwah.
Speaking after the match, Wenger praised the outstanding atmosphere and fan turnout, highlighting the event’s role in using sport to advance education and development. Thierry Henry and Matheus da Silva also expressed their pride in participating, emphasizing the importance of such initiatives in providing children worldwide with better educational opportunities.
