Doha, Qatar: As part of its commitment to public health and safety, municipalities across Qatar are intensifying pest control campaigns to combat the spread of insects. The Ministry of Municipality (MoI) announced that these efforts will be carried out across all municipalities, reinforcing the state’s dedication to maintaining a clean and healthy environment.
The campaign includes comprehensive spraying
operations targeting various pests, alongside continuous public awareness
drives. These educational efforts aim to discourage behaviors that contribute
to insect breeding and spread while informing the public about proper
preventive measures.
Residents are encouraged to utilize the Oun mobile
application — an innovative digital platform that streamlines access to pest
control services. The app, phone line, and website have collectively recorded
2,026 service requests, reflecting growing public participation in the
initiative.
This campaign aligns with the Qatar National
Vision 2030, focusing on sustainable development and improving the quality of
life for all. Authorities call on the public to maintain hygiene, avoid harmful
practices, and fully cooperate with field teams to ensure the success of the
nationwide pest control efforts.
