Doha: The Nadumuttam Onotsavam 2025 concluded with a grand celebration that radiated the essence of unity, love, and cultural harmony. Organized by the Ideal Indian School under the theme ‘Brotherhood,’ the event was a beautiful blend of Kerala’s traditional Onam festivities and a call for togetherness among the diverse Indian community in Qatar.
The
Onotsavam witnessed the presence of several distinguished guests and community
leaders from across Qatar’s social and cultural spectrum. ISC President EP Abdurahman, ICBF Vice President Rasheed Ahmed, ISC General Secretary Hamza Yusuf, ICC Managing Committee Member Nandini
Abbagouni, ICC Women’s Forum
President Anjana Menon, Pravasi
Welfare President Chandramohan, and Riyadh Medical Center Managing Director Jamsheer Hamza, among
others, graced the occasion and extended their greetings to the organizers and
participants.
Nadumuttam President Sana Naseem presided over the
event, while Vice President Latha
Krishna welcomed the gathering. The festivities featured vibrant
cultural performances, Onakalli games, and traditional music that
captured the spirit of Onam and the shared joy of the Malayali community. Each
performance was a reflection of cultural pride and the enduring message of
unity across regions and religions.
Adding
to the festive mood, a sumptuous Onam
Sadya was served, bringing together guests and participants in a shared
moment of joy and togetherness. The well-coordinated celebration showcased the
tireless efforts of the Nadumuttam organizing committee, led by Vice President Najla Najeeb, General Secretary Fathima Tasneem, Conveners Huda S.K. and Sumaiya Taseen,
and Treasurer Raheena Samad,
supported by a strong team of executive members and volunteers.
The event concluded on a high note with the heartfelt participation of families and community members. Safa and Muhsina co-hosted the evening, adding charm and energy to the celebrations. Nadumuttam Onotsavam once again proved to be a vibrant platform promoting brotherhood, cultural values, and the unifying spirit of Onam in Qatar.
