Doha, Qatar: The State of Qatar has initiated an air bridge from King Abdullah II Air Base in Jordan to Al Qarara in Khan Yunis, Gaza Strip, aimed at addressing the urgent humanitarian and medical needs of the local population. This new air route complements an existing land bridge established by Qatar, further enhancing its commitment to providing assistance to those in need.

The launch ceremony was attended by several dignitaries, including HE Maryam bint Ali bin Nasser Al Misnad, Minister of State for International Cooperation; Sheikh Saud bin Nasser bin Jassim A-Thani, Ambassador of Qatar to Jordan; and Yousef bin Ahmed Al Kuwari, CEO of Qatar Charity. Representatives from the Qatar Fund for Development (QFFD) and the Qatar Red Crescent Society (QRCS) were also present.

During the event, the Minister of State for International Cooperation witnessed the signing of an agreement between Qatar Charity and the Jordan Hashemite Charity Organization (JHCO). This agreement aims to facilitate the entry of Qatari humanitarian aid through Jordan, ensuring a coordinated and secure process for transportation and distribution of aid to those in need.
