The death toll from rain-related incidents over the past four days in the State has risen to 25, with four individuals still missing.
Although the rain's intensity has temporarily subsided, the State prepares for another round of intense spells this weekend, fueled by a low-pressure area over the Bay of Bengal.
The India Meteorological Department's (IMD) extended forecast predicts heavy rainfall in central Travancore, including Ernakulam, Idukki, and parts of Kottayam, along with four northern districts of Kerala: Kozhikode, Wayanad, Kannur, and Kasaragod. The rest of the State is expected to experience above-normal rainfall, except for Thiruvananthapuram and parts of Kollam.
