The Ministry of Education in Gaza revealed that since the onset of Israeli military actions against the Gaza Strip on October 7, 2023, more than 17,000 Palestinian children, predominantly school pupils, have lost their lives.

The statement, released on Saturday, emphasized the profound tragedy and suffering experienced by Palestinian children, highlighting the personal stories of life, childhood, and dreams cut short by the ongoing conflict. The ministry's message emphasized that each statistic represents a child whose potential and future were abruptly halted.

Drawing attention to the dire situation faced by the young population, the ministry stated that Palestinian children and students remain the most vulnerable group, with their rights continuously violated by Israeli occupation forces. The conditions in the Palestinian enclave, described as harsh and relentless, have exacerbated the plight of these young lives.
