Actor Ananya Raj, known for her roles in Hindi films including Ghost, 7 Hours to Go and The Final Exit, has died at the age of 27. Her family announced the news on Sunday, August 16, saying she passed away peacefully in her sleep on July 15 after experiencing physical and mental health difficulties for more than a year.
The family said they waited a month before publicly announcing her death to grieve in private. Remembering Ananya as a strong-spirited person who fought her health challenges “like a warrior”, they requested privacy and asked fans and well-wishers to pray for her.
Ananya began her Bollywood career with 7 Hours to Go in 2016 and later appeared in The Final Exit and Vikram Bhatt’s Ghost. She also worked in regional cinema, including the Telugu film Thaggede Le. Following the announcement, fans and well-wishers shared condolences and tributes on social media.
