Doha: (QNA) The General Tax Authority (GTA) has announced the launch of a new online meeting booking service through the Dhareeba Platform, as part of its ongoing digital transformation efforts to improve communication with taxpayers and facilitate easier access to tax-related services.
The
new service allows taxpayers to electronically request meetings with the GTA to
discuss tax-related inquiries and other matters. Users can select a suitable
appointment time, specify the subject of the meeting in advance, and provide
relevant information and supporting documents related to the issue they wish to
discuss.
According
to the GTA, providing these details beforehand enables the relevant department
or specialist to review the request and prepare for the meeting in advance.
This is expected to help officials provide taxpayers with more accurate and
effective information, guidance and assistance during their scheduled meetings.
Taxpayers
can access the service by logging into the Dhareeba Platform and registering through the National
Authentication System “Tawtheeq.”
They can then submit their meeting request electronically, which will be
directed to the appropriate GTA department or specialist. Applicants will also
be able to track the status of their requests online.
The
GTA said the initiative reflects its commitment to using digital solutions to
simplify procedures and enhance the overall taxpayer experience. By allowing
appointments to be scheduled in advance and directing requests to the
appropriate specialists, the service aims to improve response efficiency,
provide faster support and guidance, increase awareness of tax obligations and
ultimately strengthen tax compliance in Qatar.
