Doha: The INCAS Qatar Central Committee family gathering will be held tomorrow, Friday (January 9, 2026), at 5.00 pm at the Ideal Indian School Open Auditorium in Abu Hamour. Leader of the Opposition in the Kerala Legislative Assembly, Adv. V.D. Satheesan, will attend the programme as the chief guest, the organisers announced at a press conference.
The
event, being held in connection with Pravasi Day, is expected to witness the
participation of several prominent personalities from Qatar’s socio-cultural
arena, along with members of the Malayali community from across the country.
The gathering aims to strengthen bonds within the expatriate community and
highlight its role in Kerala’s progress.
The
Malayali community in Qatar is eagerly awaiting the visit of Adv. V.D.
Satheesan, who is known for his clear vision on Kerala’s future, particularly
with regard to economic development and democratic governance. His presence is
expected to provide an opportunity for meaningful interaction with expatriates.
INCAS Qatar stated that the programme is being
held with the participation of the Opposition Leader based on the belief that
expatriates can play a vital role in the forward journey of a secular and
democratic Kerala. The organisers have extended a special invitation to all
Malayalis in Qatar to attend the Pravasi Day programme.
The press
conference was attended by Sidheek Purayil, President of INCAS Qatar; K.V.
Boban, General Secretary; Jees Joseph, Treasurer; Sameer Eramala, Chairman of
the Advisory Board; and patrons Joppachan Thekkekoot, Muhammed Shanavas, and
John Gilbert.
