Doha: The Qatar Kite Festival, one of the country’s most popular winter attractions, will return to Doha for its fourth edition from January 15 to 24, 2026, according to the festival’s official website. The event will bring together internationally renowned kite flyers and offer a wide range of family-friendly activities for visitors and residents.
This
year’s festival will feature 20
professional kite teams from around the world, presenting spectacular
large-scale aerial displays across Doha’s skyline. The programme includes
day-and-night kite flying with artistic designs, character kites, and
synchronized performances led by international experts, alongside a variety of
food and beverage outlets at the venue.
In addition to aerial shows, the festival will host multiple ground activities such as kite-making workshops for children, free kite distribution, cultural performances, carnival parades, stage shows, and dedicated kids’ zones and playgrounds. Organisers said further details about the event are expected to be announced in the coming days.
