Doha: Two students from Ideal Indian School in Qatar have died after drowning in a swimming pool. The victims were identified as Ahmed Afzal Bade (9 years old) and Mohammed Shaheed Quraishi (10 years old), both natives of Maharashtra.

Ahmed Afzal was the son of Kahiuruddin Bade and Rubaina. Mohammed Shaheed was the son of Amir Mohammed Shahid Quraishi. Official procedures for repatriating the bodies have been completed.

Expatriate Welfare has announced that prayer ceremonies will be held tonight at the Abu Hamour cemetery in Doha. The expatriate community in Qatar and the Ideal Indian School authorities have expressed deep sorrow over the tragic and untimely loss of the children.
