Doha, Qatar: The United
States and Iran have agreed to halt military strikes against each other and
will hold talks in Doha on Tuesday to address their dispute over the Strait of
Hormuz, according to an Axios report citing a senior U.S. official.
The
report said both sides have agreed to stop all "kinetic activity"
following days of renewed military exchanges that had threatened a fragile
ceasefire. As part of the understanding, commercial vessels will be allowed to
move freely through the Strait of Hormuz while technical discussions continue.
