The Government Media Office in the Gaza Strip has reported alarming details regarding the humanitarian crisis resulting from the prolonged Israeli blockade.
According to their findings, the blockade has led to the deaths of 58 Palestinians due to malnutrition and an additional 242 individuals resulting from shortages of food and medicine, including 26 patients suffering from kidney ailments. Furthermore, it has been reported that 300 miscarriages have occurred among pregnant women during the 80 days of blockade following the violation of the ceasefire agreement.
The media office has expressed profound concern and condemnation regarding the deteriorating humanitarian situation in the Gaza Strip. They emphasize that the ongoing systematic starvation tactics employed by the occupying forces, along with the comprehensive blockade that restricts the entry of essential food, medical supplies, and fuel, constitutes a serious violation of human rights.
This situation represents a grave threat to the lives of over 2.4 million Palestinians residing in the besieged Gaza Strip, raising serious questions about the implications for public health and safety in the region.
