Foreign Minister of Egypt, Bad Abdel Aaty, has reaffirmed his country's commitment to mediating efforts aimed at resuming the ceasefire in the Gaza Strip, in collaboration with Qatar and the United States. He highlighted the importance of enhancing the flow of humanitarian aid to the region, particularly in light of the rapidly deteriorating humanitarian conditions.

During a meeting on Saturday with Hussein al-Sheikh, Vice President of the Palestinian Authority, Minister Abdel Aaty expressed Egypt's strong opposition to Israel's deployment of starvation as a method of collective punishment against civilians in Gaza. 

Furthermore, the minister addressed the imperative of early recovery and reconstruction in the Gaza Strip, aligning these efforts with the Arab-Islamic plan. He also provided updates regarding Egypt's preparations for an international conference on Gaza reconstruction, which will be hosted in partnership with the United Nations and the Palestinian government.
