President Donald Trump announced the signing of an executive order aimed at establishing a federally funded self-deportation program. This initiative is designed to provide financial assistance through paid flights and an "exit bonus" for individuals who choose to leave the United States voluntarily and permanently.
In a statement released on the White House's official website, President Trump expressed his concerns regarding illegal immigration, describing it as a "full-scale invasion" that contributes to crime and violence in the country.
He stated in a post to Truth Social that, "Illegal aliens who stay in America face punishments, including - sudden deportation, in a place and manner solely of our discretion. To all illegal aliens: Book your free flights right now!”
The announcement also highlights potential penalties for individuals who do not comply with the self-deportation program. President Trump indicated that those who choose to remain in the U.S. could face significant repercussions, including substantial jail time, financial penalties, property confiscation, wage garnishment, and immediate deportation, all determined at the discretion of federal authorities.
