Doha: In a major move to enhance healthcare access and improve patient experience, Hamad Medical Corporation (HMC) has signed a partnership agreement with four of Qatar’s leading private hospitals -Al Ahli Hospital, Al Emadi Hospital, Aman Hospital, and Doha Clinic Hospital. The initiative aims to reduce waiting times for Qatari citizens and ensure timely, high-quality medical services through public-private collaboration.
Under this agreement, Qatari patients facing
extended waiting periods at HMC facilities will be referred to the partnered
private hospitals. This will enable more efficient access to care, ensuring
that no patient experiences unnecessary delays in receiving medical attention.
The agreement reflects HMC's commitment to delivering prompt and
patient-centered healthcare solutions in line with national health priorities.
Speaking about the agreement, HMC Managing
Director HE Mohammad bin Khalifa Al Suwaidi highlighted the initiative as a key
milestone in Qatar’s National Health Strategy 2024–2030. "By leveraging
the strengths of both the public and private sectors, we are ensuring that
every Qatari citizen receives timely and high-quality healthcare
services," he stated. The new partnership also builds upon HMC’s ongoing
collaboration with The View Hospital.
Chief Medical Officer Dr. Khalid Mohammed Al
Jalham noted that the agreement will help HMC manage high-demand clinics while
upholding clinical excellence. Meanwhile, Chief of Patient Experience Nasser Al
Naimi emphasized that this collaboration improves access and enhances overall
patient satisfaction. The signing ceremony was attended by senior officials
from HMC and representatives of the four private hospitals, marking a unified
step towards a more efficient, inclusive healthcare system in Qatar.
