Austria
secured a 3-1 victory against World Cup debutants Jordan at Levi's Stadium,
with veteran forward Marko Arnautovic adding a stoppage-time penalty to seal
the win.
Romano
Schmid put Austria ahead with a brilliant goal from distance, but Jordan fought
back throughout the match. Ali Olwan scored Jordan's first-ever World Cup goal
with a superb right-footed shot that beat goalkeeper Alexander Schlager and
went in off the post, pulling his side level.
Austria regained the lead in the 76th minute through an own goal from Yazan al-Arab, before Arnautovic converted a penalty in added time to make the game safe for the Austrians.
