Iran has issued a fresh warning, claiming it is ready to deploy a new weapon that could alarm US and Israeli forces, following the rejection of a peace proposal by Donald Trump. The proposal reportedly involved reopening the Strait of Hormuz in exchange for lifting the US blockade, but Washington chose to continue its naval restrictions in the region.
Speaking
to state media, Iranian Navy Commander Shahram Irani said the country would
soon confront its adversaries with a weapon “they are deeply afraid of,” adding
that it is positioned close to enemy forces. He remarked that the development
could be so shocking that it might give opponents a “heart attack,” while also
dismissing US pressure tactics as ineffective.
Irani
further claimed that Iranian forces had conducted at least seven missile
operations targeting the US aircraft carrier USS Abraham Lincoln, alleging that
the strikes temporarily disrupted its ability to launch aircraft. The situation
highlights rising tensions in the region, particularly around the strategically
crucial Strait of Hormuz.
