Riyadh:
Saudi crown prince and prime minister Prince Mohammed bin Salman met with
Ukrainian president Volodymyr Zelenskyy in Jeddah on Friday to discuss the
ongoing Ukraine crisis and recent developments across the Middle East.
The
two leaders reviewed the current state of bilateral relations and explored
opportunities to expand joint cooperation. President Zelenskyy described the
talks as highly productive, noting that Ukraine is working to finalize a
comprehensive agreement with Saudi Arabia that will cover key sectors including
security, energy, and food cooperation.
The
meeting included high-ranking officials from both nations. The Saudi delegation
featured defense minister Prince Khalid bin Salman, foreign minister Prince
Faisal bin Farhan, and national security adviser Dr. Musaed Al-Aiban. The
Ukrainian side was represented by national security and defense council
secretary Rustem Umerov, foreign minister Andrii Sybiha, and chief of the
general staff Andrii Hnatov.
This high-level dialogue underscores Saudi Arabia's continued role in international diplomacy and its efforts to facilitate communication regarding global security challenges.
