Spain
cruised to a dominant 4-0 victory over Saudi Arabia in their FIFA World Cup
Group H clash on June 21, strengthening their position at the top of the group.
The Spanish side controlled the match from the opening minutes and never
allowed Saudi Arabia to settle into the game.
Teenage
sensation Lamine Yamal opened the scoring
in the 10th minute before Mikel Oyarzabal
doubled the lead in the 21st minute. Oyarzabal struck again three minutes later
to put Spain firmly in command before halftime.
Saudi Arabia's
problems worsened in the second half when defender Hassan Al Tambakti scored an own goal in the
49th minute, sealing a comprehensive 4-0 win for Spain. The result leaves Saudi
Arabia facing a tough challenge in their remaining group matches, while Spain
move closer to securing a place in the knockout stage.
